Redefining Small Car Safety
Joining the 2022 Mazda3 Sedan and 2022 Mazda3 Hatchback, the 2022 Mazda CX-30, the 2022 Mazda CX-5, the 2022 CX-9, and the 2022 Mazda CX-50 among the highest awarded vehicles in safety, the 2023 Mazda3 Sedan and 2023 Mazda3 Hatchback were duly granted “Good” ratings on the new IIHS side impact crash test.* These models are now equipped with additional rear side airbags, new seat belt pretensioners, and seat belt load limiters. Designed to reduce occupant injury, these added features gave the 2023 Mazda3 Sedan and 2023 Mazda3 Hatchback the boost they needed to achieve a “Good” rating. In fact, in a recent press release, Mazda stated that the 2023 Mazda3 Sedan and Hatchback took safety notes from the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-9, which allow the compact models to provide as much protection as these larger crossovers. This prestigious award just goes to show that Mazda models are made for reliability, offering as much safety as possible so you can focus on the drive ahead.
